Additional information

Use in Cosmetics

AYEYA White Soap is a natural surfactant. As a potassium soap, it provides the advantage of increased solubility over sodium salts for making liquid soaps. Fatty acid soaps are commonly used surfactants for their cleaning and degreasing properties, but they can also help to control foam, for example in laundry liquids for automatic machine wash and other detergents, reducing the requirement to add additional de-foaming agents. They are also frequently used in personal care products and this product is ideal for use in liquid formulations, such as hand soaps for dispensers, shower and bath products, etc.

What is Fair Trade?
All too often farmers and producers in economically disadvantaged countries are exploited and paid absurdly low wages. Fair trade certification means they receive a greater percentage of the price paid by consumers. For example, Ayéya pays 15-25% above market price for shea nuts. Cooperative members also receive a salary more than 3x the average family income in Togo.
