Use in Cosmetics

AYEYA Cocoa Butter is hand extracted from the seeds of the cacao tree, Theobroma cacao. The butter is not refined, only filtered so natural pigments, aroma components and other phytocompounds will be present. It is designed for cosmetic applications and can be incorporated in high quantities. It's emolliency properties make it a suitable replacement for many synthetic emolliency enhancers. It has a superior softening effect and good spreadability on the skin, therefore it is an ideal ingredient in skin care products, massage creams, make-up and sun care products.

What is Fair Trade?
All too often farmers and producers in economically disadvantaged countries are exploited and paid absurdly low wages. Fair trade certification means they receive a greater percentage of the price paid by consumers. For example, Ayéya pays 15-25% above market price for shea nuts. Cooperative members also receive a salary more than 3x the average family income in Togo.
